ALORA

The Archive of Languages and Oral Resources of Africa (ALORA) is a regional language archive based in Yaoundé (Cameroon). The archive is hosted by the International Center for Research and Documentation on African Traditions and Languages (CERDOTOLA), which is an African-based inter-State organization committed to the documentation, preservation and promotion of the rich, yet endangered African cultural and language heritage. ALORA was set up in February of 2014 within the framework of the Innovative Networking in Infrastructure for Endangered Languages (INNET), and uses the technologies developed by TLA at MPI-PL (Nijmegen).

ALORA is open to, and collaborates with as wide a community of depositors and users as possible: fieldwork researchers in the humanities, institutions such as universities, laboratories, libraries, museums, research centers, languages committees, language and cultural groups/associations, and individuals.
